I like to go to the Indie Beauty Expo in New York City. It’s basically a giant beauty convention that highlights small, exclusively owned brands (hence its name). But at any time he was at any kind of convention, he knew a lot was going on. And if you’re an up-and-coming brand, no matter how many samples you manage for a two-day event, after a six-hour straight (yes, really) walk around the hard can convention centre floor outside, I have a few products. There was one that just stood out, but the only one I couldn’t wait to use and use at home was the PMD Clean Pro Rose Quartz ($179) facial brush.
What is the PMD Clean Pro RQ?
It is a “smart facial cleansing device” that stands alone and is mostly made of silicone. That is charged with a USB cord. Two distinct forms of technology—Sonic Glow and Active Worm—are utilised to deliver advantageous outcomes to the epidermis. The front of the tool has soft rubber bristles that, along with SonicGlo technology, break down dirt, oil, and other impurities at 7,000 sounds per minute.
This frequency also helps the skin to lift, firm, and tone and has two vibration settings to try: gentle and intense.
Flip over the PMD Clean Pro RQ, and you’ll discover real, smooth embedded pieces of rose quartz stone. This site offers anti-ageing benefits to ActiveTech with two gentle and intense messageing settings. Rose quartz is often used as a facial because it helps reduce inflammation and irritation, and many say it contains magnesium, iron, and oxygen.
The Design
The Clean Pro Rose Quartz Brush is a one-of-a-kind version of the brand’s Clean Smart Facial Cleansing Device (which we named one of the Facial Cleansing Brushes for Anti-Aging). Although the next version has a ribbed massage feature on the back, the new version takes it up a notch. On one side is an electric facial brush made of antibacterial silicone (it vibrates 7,000 times per minute to break down dirt and oil in the pores), and on the other is a large, flat rose quartz stone that is heated.
Let me repeat this: it is a crystal, and it has become heated.
The device is available in three shades: a rose gold finish, berry (a rich, burgundy hue) with a rose gold finish, and white with a rose quartz accent. It is waterproof, antibacterial, and does not require any extra brush heads or accessories. The soft silicone handle makes it simple to grasp while cleaning your skin. Unlike most face cleansers, there is no timer, so you must watch how long you clean.
How to use the PMD Clean PRO Smart Facial Cleansing Device
The ergonomically designed device has four different vibration settings, so you can choose which intensity seems right for your skin. The first two are for cleansing, and the second two are for massaging your moisturisers or serums. And there’s also a setting for the heating element, which I’ll come to a bit later.
Cleansing
One and two settings provide constant vibration and are recommended for the best cleaning results. Silicone brush bristles are super soft and suitable for all skin types, so you can easily use the facial cleansing device twice a day. Since silicone is healthy, anti-bacterial, hypoallergenic, and waterproof, there is no risk of your skin moving to Bristol and any kind of dirt or infection.
My previous experience with PMD Clean taught me that the best way to use this facial cleansing device is below. Rinse your face with mild, warm water, and then apply your chosen cleanser. Wet PMD Clear PRO and massage the head of the brush in circular motions on your face for as long or a short time as you wish. When done, simply wash both your face and the device, dry your face, and leave the PMD Clean Pro on the air. First, my favourite tip for using my new True Skincare Cleansing Oil, then Double Cleanses and My Origins Foaming Cleanser for really refreshed skin will follow.
Massaging and Rose Quartz
In contrast to the PMD Clean and its fragmented side, the PRO brush has a smooth rose quartz plate on the back of the head. The settings of the two pulses are still there, and they will give your skin massage serums and moisturizers. Slow, intermittent vibrations help lift, strengthen, and tone your skin by stimulating blood flow and collagen production. Basically, they help you penetrate deeper into your product(s) for greater effectiveness. My PMD Clean Pro works happily with all my facial oils, serums, and night creams.
Then why the rose quartz plate? Well, many crystals hold healing energy, which can relax, soothe, and invigorate. My daughter, Flora, has a collection of growing crystals (including three rose quartz stones), and I can feel myself calming down whenever we manage or play with them. It probably sounds a bit weird, and I’m agreeing, but rose quartz has long been used in beauty treatments to stimulate loss, reduce disgust, and eliminate toxicity. So smoothing the rose quartz plate on the outside (always on the outside, never on the inside; you want to keep those sacrifices away) is the perfect consequence of your skincare routine.
Heating
The heating element is a lot of treats. I don’t use it every day because I don’t want to resist the cooling effect of rose quartz. However, I combined it with a gentle vibration setting after cleaning it. Have you ever applied a steam facial or a warm towel to your face? It looks like PMD Clean Pro. It is a very gentle heat that works in conjunction with the act of massaging to truly treat your skin. Like doing a professional face massage in the comfort of your own home.
The Pros
âś” PMD Clean Pro RQ makes my sensitive skin feel *divine*. The bristles are extremely soft and still manage to provide my face with a deep cleansing that makes my skin feel makeup-free, fresh, soft, and smooth.
✔ Gentle It is gentle, yet it is effective enough for me to use it every day without stretching my skin (I have had experience with breakouts and textures for a few months now). It doesn’t make my face feel dry or tight.
âś” A silicone brush head means it never needs to be replaced.
âś” The brush can be used with any and all liquid cleansers.
âś” The Rose Brazil brush can be used for two vibration settings for the head and two rose quartz massagers for anti-ageing and massage. I usually use setting 1 to clean my face with bristles and separate between massage settings.
âś” I really like the size of the brush head. It covers more surface area while being able to crawl, like the side of the nose, and enter the surroundings.
âś” coming to The Rose Quartz Massager, the stone feels smooth and the face feels beautiful to massage in serums, oils, and creams.
âś” The PMD Clean Pro RQ has been trademarked with Activarmth technology, which warms Rose Quartz Massage to better absorb skincare products and create a complete spa-like experience when using the device.
âś” Active Activarmth technology makes the device pleasantly warm, not uncomfortable.
✔ Device This device is rechargeable, so unlike the PMD Clean model, I don’t have to worry about the battery running out and needing replacement. In my experience, the battery of the PMD Clean Pro RQ is long-lasting once the device is fully charged. Despite charging it three weeks ago and using it 4-5 times a week, the battery is still alive.
âś” Although I charge it three weeks ago and use it 4-5 times a week, the battery is still active.
âś” The device comes with a travel-friendly case and charging cable.
âś” The PMD site always carries a tonne of discounts and promotions, so you can get the device a little less expensive.
The Cons
✔ I was expecting the device to be pinker and smoother than the Rose Quartz side for the price when I received the device with a gift card. It’s smooth, pink, and smooth, not just $179.
✔ I believe that PMD Clean Pro RQ is more of a luxury than a necessity. You can get similar facial cleansing with any of their other, less expensive devices that give different types of massage heads on the other side of the brush. One has a silicone massage, and one has a simple metal (looks like metal, don’t quote me about it!) Active and worth a massager.
âś” IMO, you can also get a simple cleansing brush that suits your skin type and a rose quartz roller or shaw tool, and you may have something like PMD Clean Pro RQ.
âś” Full At full price, the device is expensive.
✔ Make If this device is used to remove makeup, I always do double cleansing—first with Pharmacy Cleansing Balm and then PMD Clean Pro RQ + with my Dermologica Special Cleansing Gel. I don’t believe, by itself, that the device is enough to remove all my makeup.
Would I recommend the PMD Clean PRO?
PMD Clean Pro comes with a smart facial cleaning device charging cord, storage case, and one-year warranty. See the latest price of PMD Clean Pro on Amazon. Although it is more expensive than the original, the upgrade also includes heating and rose quartz components. Which, of course, made the video an overnight sensation. I believe that PMD Clean Pro is a great investment, and I firmly believe in investing in my skin, which I wear every day. To steal a phrase from another beauty company, I value it. So, yes, I sincerely recommend the Pro Facial Cleansing Device; it’s great. And I am extremely grateful to PMD for gifting me both my original PMD Clean and my new Pro.
And if you are wondering what happened to my real PMD Clean, I got it from Flora. Yeah, Al, that sounds pretty crap to me. It looks like BT isn’t for me either. It looks like BT is not for me either. She likes to use it, and if it reduces her adolescent injury and the hormones start playing violently with her skin, I think it’s definitely a win. And a huge tick in the box for future smart skincare, wouldn’t you say?
Overall thinking?
I absolutely love PMD Clean Pro RQ! It is a perfect pleasure to use the Activity Rose Quartz Facial Massage, and I already knew that I would enjoy the deep exfoliation on the brush side. I have used this device for 6-7 weeks and feel that my skin tone has improved. It suits my skincare routine perfectly. The silicone material makes this device easy to clean as it is anti-bacterial and odor-resistant, and you no longer have to change heads, which makes the PMD Clean Pro RQ a much healthier and more durable purchase than a Clarisonic-style replacement product. Highly recommended!
